The Corpus of Light Verb Constructions of Persian


(This corpus is the result of a postdoctoral research project (NO.99030152) carried out at the University of Tehran under the support of Iran National Science Foundation)

Introduction

A linguistic corpus is a collection of linguistic data derived from language texts which represent the real patterns of language use to the researchers. The corpus of Light Verb Constructions of Persian (LCP (is dedicated to Light Verb Constructions (LVCs) of Persian. It contains more than 6000 LVCs in more than 2000000 linguistic contexts. Each LVC consist of one of the 21 most productive Persian LVs in combination with a nonverbal element. The LVCs in this corpus have been annotated as explained in the guide file.
